OUR STORY
Sella & Saggia is a lifestyle brand with its office and distribution centre in the Netherlands, shaped by natural fibres, equestrian heritage, and an understated design ethos. Created by Eduard van Brunschot, a Dutch textile engineer with a long career in the European textile and fashion industry, the brand reflects his technical expertise and his long-standing connection to Peru and the Andes.
In 1996, Eduard established Perol Chico in the Sacred Valley of Peru—a pioneering ranch recognised for its purebred Peruvian Paso horses and its thoughtfully designed riding journeys. This equestrian background remains part of the brand’s DNA: a way of living shaped by refined simplicity, nature, and the quiet companionship of horses.
With a foundation in textiles and early experience working with Peruvian manufacturers producing fabrics, home textiles, and apparel, the connection to materials and craftsmanship never disappeared—it simply evolved. Years spent living among Andean culture brought that connection back with deeper meaning. Peru’s textile heritage—from ancient weaving traditions to alpaca, vicuña, long-staple Pima cotton, and Tanguïs cotton—became a natural source of inspiration.
At the heart of the brand lies its guiding idea, Elegantia cum puritate—elegance with purity: a commitment to authenticity, natural materials, and a more understated form of beauty.
Today, Sella & Saggia works with a small design team and carefully selected partners in Peru and Europe to create pieces defined by quality, refined materials, and timeless elegance.
