Unlike the Huacaya breed, which produces a fluffy, crimpy fibre, Suri grows in smooth, lustrous strands with a naturally elegant fall. This structure gives Suri its characteristic fluidity, gentle weight, and quiet sheen.
Graded by fineness rather than age, Suri fibres are typically within the same micron range as high-quality alpaca, yet their length and smooth surface create a uniquely soft, cool, and refined handle. The fibre resists pilling and maintains its graceful movement over time, making it ideal for pieces that require both luxury and performance.
